The Miami Shakerettes are Miami University's oldest dance and spirit squad, founded in 1955. The group performs at all home football games, men's and women's basketball games, and several on-campus and Oxford community events. We specialize in the forms of jazz, pom, and kick. We are known for our sparkling uniforms and eye-high kicklines in the end zone whenever Miami scores a touchdown! We've performed with the Miami University Marching Band at the 2021 Frisco Football Classic Bowl, 2020 LendingTree Bowl, the 2019 MAC Championship, Ohio State University, University of Michigan, University of Cincinnati, University of Notre Dame, the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Parade, the 2011 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and multiple times at the Cincinnati Bengals' halftime show. Our alumni have gone on to become NFL cheerleaders, professional choreographers, and more!
